Parents are a child's first teacher. They are experts on their child. Pathfinder Services of ND's Parent Support Providers support families in this important and lifelong role.
A Program for Parents
Parents have many questions and concerns in coping with their child's needs and their own feelings. Personal support from another parent, who has a child with similar needs, can be helpful in coping with these challenging experiences and feelings. Parent Support Providers are available to provide support and information.
We Help Parents:
- Understand their child's disability
- Understand their rights
- Build positive relationships
- Understand Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) components
- Find statewide information on available support and resources
