About the Position

The Youth Support Specialist will provide support and locate resources for youth 14-26 years of age with disabilities. The Support Specialist will have natural caring skills to assist youth and families with disabilities. Their primary focus and responsibility will be to provide support, information, and referrals to serve youth and to help keep youth in school. They must also be self-driven to take on new and established projects and initiatives.

The Support Specialist will be knowledgeable of youth's rights, navigation of special education, health, and mental health systems. They will guide a youth's advocacy for their rights and connect and maintain communication with parents.
